Steps to success:
1) The OBD2 dongle will not show an active connection in your Bluetooth menu on your phone. It is connected even if it doesn't appear to be. It automatically forms a connection when you are using an app or will be requested to be found when using the app for the first time.
2) Please use a third-party app like Torque/OBD Fusion or other OBD2 vehicle diagnostic apps to connect to the Vehicle Health Monitor. Make sure the app doesn't specifically say that they only work with one particular dongle. When using your VHM with the app, you'll simply launch the desired app and it will automatically find and connect to your VHM. All connection information and data will be handled through the app that you are using.
3) While the VHM is compatible with the Hudly App, our app has a bug at the moment that is causing it to not work with some phones and vehicles. We will have an update out soon to fix that.
4) There is a light on the VHM. At times the light will be red and at others, blue. Please note that the red light is not indicative of a malfunctioning or disconnected unit and may simply be showing as red through the application that you are using.
If the steps above don't work, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. We may need to replace your dongle.
